On the exhibition area near the route de Bastogne only amateur photographers are to be shown, who therefore get the opportunity to present their work to the public.
The rally is more than just a discipline of motor sport. One is captivated by it or rejects it. For some it is the most undisciplined of all kinds of car sports. It is based on extremes, as it were (motor power x thrill)2. The speed excites, the noise is deafening, and the lurking danger promises a touch of adventure.
The brave ones who want to know exactly, who really know the rallying, will not protest. However, they will complement the description: The speed is a freedom that can be enjoyed only on condition of greatest concentration. It requires a strict and serious preparation, precise, almost scientific. Skill, strong reflexes, steady nerves are stretched to the limit. The danger is real, but not deliberately. The driver and his co-pilot testify in mutual respect, responsibility and absolute confidence.
The technical crew is often underestimated because they are not in the spotlight. They wait in the background, ready, and provide quick and reliable support at every race.
The formula for the rally seems simple, yet the individual components are quite complex. Driving takes practice, skill makes the rally to an art.
